Dance Club of Olympia

French Connection will be playing from 8 to 11 PM. Lesson on Fox Trot by Karen Ideker from 7 to 8 PM is included with the price of admission.

Our ballroom dance will be Friday, October 23rd. Casanova will provide the music from 8PM until 11PM. Wilma Layug will teach a tango lesson from 7PM until 8PM.

There will be a special Halloween contest with prizes, so come dressed in a costume.

Sound of Swing is playing for August. The lesson this month is East Coast Swing taught by Dave Lynch at 7PM. Music goes from 8PM to 11PM.

Casanova will be playing this month! Live music from 8PM to 11PM. Come early for a night club two-step lesson at 7:00 PM with Wilma.

Our next dance is Friday, May 22nd. Wilma Layug is teaching Salsa starting at 7PM. The theme is Mexican if you want to dress up. Music will be provided by French Connection from 8PM until 11PM.

Thanks for all the positive comments about “Cool Shoes,” the dance team from Oregon State University, who performed at our April 24th dance. We certainly enjoyed their high-energy dance routines and colorful costumes.

Last night was our April dance. To give you an idea about what the music was like, we have included a video clip. This event was part of ArtsWalk in Olympia. The proceeds from this dance went into a fund for sponsoring ballroom lessons for young people.
